MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 23, 2017) – Tanner Thorson, Toyota Racing Development dirt standout, is set to compete in eight Super Late Model events with Bond Suss Racing (BSR) during the 2017 season.
The 2016 USAC National Midget champion will make his first start with BSR behind the wheel of the No. 55 Toyota Racing, JBL Camry with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) at Dillon Motor Speedway (S.C.) Feb. 4.
“I’m excited to partner up with Bond [Suss] and his team,” Thorson stated. “I believe we will work well together and I can learn a lot from him. His past drivers have been successful and I hope I can add to that.”
Bond Suss, owner and crew chief of the newly developed BSR team, has proven his expertise with countless success at large events such as the Snowball Derby, Winchester 400 and the Oxford 250, a signature annual PASS event. He has worked with talented asphalt drivers such as Erik Jones, Christopher Bell and Dalton Sargeant.
“I’m excited about Tanner and the dirt background he comes from,” Suss expressed. “I like working with drivers from that kind of discipline and I feel I can be a good teacher in helping him with his transition to asphalt. I’m excited to give Tanner an opportunity to advance to the next level.”
The remaining races will be released upon finalization.
